What treatment can I expect to receive?

My Occupational Therapy treatments are tailored to address a wide range of challenges, ensuring personalised and effective solutions for each client.

My aim is to understand your individual goals and work with you to achieve them in a realistic manner. This begins with a thorough home assessment, where I visit your home to gain a complete understanding of your daily struggles and living situation.

During the assessment, I will review how you complete daily tasks such as toileting, cleaning, washing, and dressing to identify the difficulties you face. Based on these observations, I can recommend both small and large equipment to assist you. This may include gadgets to simplify kitchen tasks, frames for easier toileting, or larger equipment like hoists to facilitate bed-to-chair transfers.

Additionally, I provide advice on preventing falls and suggest various walking aids to minimise risk and help maintain your independence. I can also prepare detailed reports on your capabilities and limitations within your home environment upon request. If you are unsure whether my services can help with your specific difficulties, please feel free to contact me via telephone or email to discuss further. Home assessments need to be booked directly with me.

How can I help businesses and organisations?

I offer a range of services to support businesses, case managers, local authorities, solicitors, NHS trusts, and charities.

Here are some ways I can assist:

  • Local Authorities: Performing assessments for individuals or groups to help manage caseloads and reduce waiting times.

  • NHS Trusts: Assisting in decreasing waiting times and providing additional expertise to support staff. I can offer training on a range of specialist topics such as Hand Therapy, discharge planning, moving and handling/equipment.

  • Care Homes: Offering advice on correct moving and handling, suitable equipment, and seating needs for both staff and residents, along with regular training for using hoists and other equipment.

  • Charities: Supplying detailed reports for funding applications to aid your cause.

  • Businesses/Building Firms/Housing Associations: Providing recommendations for individual residents or groups, including comprehensive reports for renovations or adaptations requiring wheelchair accessibility.

  • Solicitors: Delivering professional reports for tribunals or rehabilitation purposes.

  • Companies: Supporting employees on sick leave with stress management and anxiety, fostering a healthy work-life balance, and reducing staff absences through customized talks and lectures.

  • Case Managers: Facilitating Occupational Therapy services for clients in their homes.

If you represent any of these sectors and need my assistance, please contact me to discuss how I can support your specific requirements

Do you offer home visits for assessments and treatments?

Yes, I do offer home visits for assessments and treatments. This allows me to provide personalised care in your own home, ensuring accurate assessments and tailored services. Home visits are ideal for those with mobility issues or needing home adaptations. To schedule a visit, please use the contact form.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring a list of any medications that you are taking and any medical conditions that you have.

If you are seeing me for hand therapy input, please bring any clinic letters/discharge letters you have received from a consultant review if you have been seen at a hospital.

How many therapy sessions will I need?

This depends on the treatment you are having and the reason that you wish to have treatment. Once you attend a consultation appointment, I will be able to provide you with a good guide as to how many sessions I would recommend. Treatment will be tailored to your individual needs as well as considering cost and availability to attend appointments.

What happens if I can’t make an appointment?

We would ask that you contact HH Rehab Services as soon as you know you are unable to make an appointment so that we can reschedule this at a time to suit your availability. Unfortunately, if your appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours before your appointment time, you will not receive your deposit back. If you miss two appointments without contacting HHRehab Services you will be discharged from our services.

Do you accept payment on the day?

A deposit/full payment is required at the time of the booking to secure your time slot.

However, in special circumstances, urgent appointments can be paid for on the day. Contact me direct for more details.
